The Power Of Humilty

Being a student of what works, I don’t think I am so much different from my fellow human beings in looking for a way to make life function. I came across this talk by Dieter Uchtdorf in which he addresses the power of humility. “Pride,” he says, “is the switch which turns off power. Humility is a switch that turns it on.”

He goes on to say that we suppose humility is about beating ourselves up. “We don’t discover humility by thinking less of ourselves; we discover humility thinking less about ourselves. It comes as we go about our work with an attitude of serving God and our fellowmen.”
